Tips to Prepare Air Fryer Fried Green Tomatoes

Air Fryer Fried Green Tomatoes

The one I’m currently using is my Black Deluxe Air Fryer XL that has a 5.3 Quart capacity. There is a smaller version.

However, I’d prefer the larger one unless you’re cooking just for one. How do you stop green tomatoes that you fry from becoming too spongy? Just wash them correctly.

Another aspect …….

I wouldn’t recommend an oil spray such as Pam. It’s possible that you need to buy the Oil Mister for the best performance.

  • The air fryer, within a short time, can make tomatoes crisp. Be cautious not to cook them in the oven for too long as it can cause the tomatoes to be too soft.
  • Be sure that they’re robust and green when you are selecting tomatoes that you will fry. There’s so much water in a typical fresh tomato that it’s not strong enough for breading or frying.
  • Between 1/4 and 1/2-inch thickness, cut the tomatoes into slices.
  • If the tomatoes are cooked and then placed on a plate lined with paper towels, you can remove the oil that has accumulated before serving.
  • No matter what cooking method you use, make sure to spray cooked tomatoes with cooking spray. This causes the bread to stick, especially if you prepare air-fryer tomatoes using cheese.
