The Cooking Process

Let’s now look at how to make this famous chicken wings recipe.

  1. To prepare the recipe, we will use a casserole. The casserole we used measured 9X9 inches. You can also choose to make it smaller or larger. In a large pot, add the garlic powder, soy sauce, vegetable oil, and ginger root.
  2. Cut the chicken wings into two equal pieces. To coat the wings properly, take each one of the wings and dip it in the mixture. A light coating is best to allow the wings to deep fry. You might find that the wings become under-cooked if you coat them too heavily with the mixture.
  3. Add the brown sugar to the mixture and begin to bend it. Continue mixing the mixture until all of the sugar is dissolved.
  4. In a separate bowl, place the coated chicken wings in a refrigerator for at least four hours. This allows the ginger aroma and sweetness to penetrate the wings.
  5. Turn on the oven now and heat it to 350°F.
  6. The chicken wings can be covered with aluminum foil or placed in an oven bowl. Place the wings in an oven-safe container. The wings will need to be baked for 40 minutes.
  7. Flip the chicken wings halfway through baking. This ensures that each part is cooked correctly.
  8. After the wings have been baked, continue to cook them for 30-40 minutes. These wings should be cooked covered for another 30-40 minutes. This increases the aroma.

Expert Tips

You can add a little honey to make the chicken wings lighter. This gives the wings a sweet taste. If you are using honey to glaze, you will need to reduce the amount of brown sugar.

Dos and Don’ts

  • This is a slow-cooked dish. It takes time, so be patient. Do not rush.
